How To Look & Feel Great This Summer

Whether you want tips to look great for yourself or an ex-boyfriend, you’re at the right place. Now that it is officially summer, some things have to change in your beauty routine. I’m talking about the products you use on your face and body, as well as clothing options. Let’s take a break from discussing relationship issues and just focus on ourselves for a change. Going through relationship highs and lows take a toll on you mentally and physically. To compensate for this update your beauty routine. When you look good, you feel good. So take charge this season and be more confident in bed.

Use Sunscreen

Even though this isn’t the first thing people think of in terms of attractiveness. But down the line having skin that hasn’t been exposed to the sun will make you more attractive. Meaning you’ll have fewer wrinkles,  fine lines, and sunspots. That isn’t the most glamorous side of aging but it is something to keep in mind. When you apply sunscreen every day during the summer you are preventing aging. And taking good care of your skin. Also, remember to reapply sunscreen as most people forget to do so.

Stay Hydrated

When you’re out in the sun for hours at a time, like on a beach, you need to stay hydrated. So pack those water bottles and chug them if needed. Your skin is suffering when exposed to the skin, which often leads to heat exhaustion. Or a really bad sunburn to say the least. Get creative if you have trouble drinking water. Try adding slices of lemon or cucumber to your water for subtle flavor and intense hydration. I know I get easily dehydrated if I’m outside for too long and not drinking water.

Listen To Music

Nothing raises endorphins like listening to some amazing music. And most artists release new toons over the summer to add to your newest playlist. Play some music on your way home from work, or to the beach to feel uplifted. I like to listen to different types of music depending on my mood. During the summer, I’m all about music with a good beat to dance to. Especially if you go to a summer party on a Friday night. Just make sure to use a public background check before going to a strangers party. Stay smart and stay safe.

Eat Fruit

Instead of having ice cream which gets everywhere, try a healthier option, fruit. I love having fresh fruit over the summer like watermelon. Cutting up fresh fruit and adding it to yogurt or a smoothie is a fun and fit way to enjoy your summer. When I have the time I make fruit salads with six different types of fruits. This gets rid of that sugar craving and can substitute a dessert if you’re on a diet. I know a lot of friends that have been dieting before or during the summer. And having fruit lowers the temptation to eat unhealthy foods.

Hats & Bandanas

Wear cute hats and bandanas for more than a fashion statements. You these items to protect your head from sunburn while at the beach or going for a walk. A person’s scalp easily gets sunburned and very few people actually put sunblock on their heads. To avoid sticky sunblock and wrap a thick bandana around your head. They are a very trendy fashion accessory at the moment. Also, hats are great for protecting your face and scalp during the summer. They will never go out of style.
